World Muslims Health Societies Congress has been done in Istanbul, on 2-4 December 2016 by Sağlık-Der (Health Members Solidarity, Community Health and Environment Protection Society).
550 representatives from health related non-profit organizations from 65 different countries attended to the congress.
In this congress, Muslims’ problems about health have been discussed. As a result of these discussions, it has been decided to establish the World Islam Health Union.
According to the election that has been made during the congress, Doctor Kasım Sezen, general president of Sağlık-Der, has been elected as the first general secreter of the union.
The union will try to find solutions for the health problems of Muslims and it will discuss different subjects at its meetings every year.
