Referral chain will reduce density in hospitals

The Ministry of Health acted to reduce the excess patient burden, one of the biggest problems in state hospitals. The Ministry has initiated work to encourage the patient not to go to the hospital without consulting the family physician, except for emergencies or chronic illnesses. In this context, a citizen with a complaint first appears to the family physician, if the doctor sees, if the patient leads to the patient will not pay the share of patient participation. With this method, both the hospitals will work more efficiently and the costs of health expenditures will be reduced. On the other hand, 4 pilot provinces were identified for this application. "EFFECTIVENESS OF PROTECTIVE HEALTH SERVICES MUST BE INCREASED"

Dr Muhammet Sait Yalcin, who stated that the clinic should be determined by the family doctor in case of referral, said, "This will reduce the number of wrong branch selection and unnecessary examination, analysis and imaging. In the present case, the workload of the healthcare personnel is increasing unevenly. Due to the intensity of the work, the patients with health problems who are experiencing lack of motivation may be exposed to violence. At the same time, it is difficult to provide quality health care services, and the cost of treatment is often too high. The referral chain, which will be piloted by the Ministry of Health, we do not need to be compelling and motivating. Compelling applications increase the workload and costs of influencing the referral chain in the negative direction. It would be more meaningful to question the effectiveness of the application rather than sticking to it. We think that it is the right method to leave the patient with the choice between going to the hospital directly by paying the participation fee or being referred after the family physician is examined. However, it should not be ignored that this preference may bring with it a problem like forcing family physician, our society should improve health literacy about the subject. "

"THE PERSONNEL PERFORMANCE SHOULD BE DELIVERED"

Vice Chairman Yalcin said, "Negative performance concerns should be addressed to healthcare professionals who will bring out the new situation to support the practice. The number of family physicians should be increased and the number of patients per family physician should be reduced. As Health-Der Konya Provincial Presidency, we support the implementation of the family medicine referral chain, which will be implemented by the Ministry of Health in Silivri province of Bartın, Malatya, Edirne and Istanbul in order to reduce the intensity in the hospitals ".
